BECOMING AN AUTHOR, BUT AT WHAT COST ???
R eceiving an invitation from Liz Whippet she didn’t hesitate to meet for some coffee and pie at Liz’s home.
E ntering the abode she got enthralled by the furnishings.
E leven hours later she woke to find ten other women slaving away at computers writing romance stories of every genre.
DOM inating the room she saw an Amazon with a whip continuously yelling, “Finish typing those five romances if you want ‘The Mistress’ to give you your FREEDOM.”
[The names use here at purely fictitious. Any connection with anyone living or dead is pure coincidence.]
You can find out more about Robin Leigh Morgan, who’s a
YA Paranormal Romance author and Robin Leigh’s first romance novel “I Kissed a
Ghost”, by reading yesterday’s [April 30, 2014] blog entry, "Tell Me More !!!."
how pathetic of her to steal works of budding authors! often thirst for fame make people fall to any level, forgetting their morals! nice take on the prompt robin :) loved how u tuk a letter of freedom n started the sentence from it
ReplyDeleteTHANKS for your kind compliment regarding my endeavor for this week. I love writing the five sentence limitation in which we're to write our responses using the acrostic format. The reason I love it is the added level of difficulty it gives in writing a response. Using the acrostic format forces you to use a specific letter[s] to start each of the sentences with so the end product makes sense. And for this prompt I chose F - R - E - E- DOM to start my sentences with, another possibility could have been FR - E - E - DO - M. With the letters D - O - M as the letters required to write the fifth sentence, the number of possible word is extremely limited; especially since in has to fit in with everything I'd written before.
DeleteYou're invited to go back through my previous FSF to find and read my other acrostic endeavors.
Oh how devious Ms. Whippet is. I hope someone finds her out. Your acrostic was very clever. I really enjoyed this.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you,
Cheryl
How true your statement is concerning Ms Whippet !!!. She has to be found out eventually. How else could one woman write so many books in such a short period, with so many different styles of writing. I glad you liked my use of an acrostic format.
DeleteAnd as I said in my comment above: "It does add a level of difficulty in writing those five sentences and it' s something I've done before.
Have a GREAT WEEKEND with your family !!! :-) :-) :-)
It's being said that James Patterson has something like that (sans the the whips, but with ghost writers).
ReplyDeleteI like that your first "E" sentence stands out.
THANKS for you compliment. When I write my acrostic endeavors I always use BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS to help the acrostic prompt word to stand more.
DeleteHave a GREAT WEEKEND with your family !!! :-) :-) :-)
This is wonderful. I suppose the more you challenge yourself when writing, the most enjoyable it is. Love your acrostic!
ReplyDeleteTHANKS for the compliments Priya.
DeleteI enjoy writing these FSFs as it helps me to get the creative juice of those little grey cells inside my head flowing. This is GREAT especially when I'm suffering from writer's block.
Great story/acrostic for the prompt particularly the last three letters. Very clever indeed and a thought provoking tale. x
ReplyDeleteTHANKS for ALL the COMPLIMENTS. I truly appreciate it. While Lillie's 5-letter prompt words are easy to write easy the acrostic format, the longer those words are the greater the challenge becomes. [See my response to the first comment left here]
DeleteAs authors/writers we know how arduous it can be to get our words written down into our manuscripts just for ourselves. So the idea struck me what if I'd been forced to do my writings for someone else without receiving anything in return. With this I saw an opportunity to dwell a little into writing something erotic for the first time, you know, the whips and chains bit.
Have a GREAT WEEK !!! :-) :-) :-)
