GETTING THE BOOKS I REVIEW

For those of you who’ve been following my blog for some time know at times I can be quite a voracious reader and reviewer of books; for as it stands now I’ve got 820 reviews posted on Amazon.

One thing about my reviewing of books is that I DON’T ACCEPT any requests to do a review. The vast number of the books I review either come from the giveaways on GoodReads or LibraryThing, others come from the numerous of giveaways on the internet. I only enter a giveaway for a book if the book interests me, which leaves the rest of the books I’ve reviewed being bought by myself.

Although Amazon has been having giveaways on their site for quite a while, I’ve never bother checking them out, until about 10 days ago. Amazon’s giveaways are for a vast variety of items aside from books, but I’m only interested in those that are for books. But, regardless of what the item is, the giveaways are broken down into two categories; those which require that you either follow someone on Amazon or watch a brief video, and those which have no entry requirement; I always look for those without any requirements. The site address for these Amazon giveaways is http://www.Amazon.com/ga/giveaways .

The no entry requirement giveaways are then broken down into two formats; those in which all entries are place in a pool with the winners being selected at the end of the giveaway, and those which have instant winners. In the instant winner giveaways, an Amazon box appears, you tap on the box, the box opens, and you know whether you’ve won. The wonderful thing is that if the book is a KINDLE edition, the book is delivered immediately to your linked KINDLE address, [so make sure you’ve got one even if it’s the KINDLE App for PC like I have.]

Since I’ve been entering these Amazon giveaways for books, I already won four times, which is not too bad.

STATUS REPORT # 129

I’ve got no idea wrong with me.

Ever since my last update for some reason I can’t seem to stay awake. I might be up and doing things for about two to two-and-a-half hours but then I need to take a nap, with each nap lasting up three hours. Perhaps this can be partially explained because I’ve been getting up several times during the night to go to the bathroom to urinate. And while I haven’t been able to lose any weight for almost the past three months, lately I’ve seen a pleasant small decrease each night.

Recently, I’ve also slowed down in how fast I’ve been able to go through and read a book, so I can review it. And for the past 10 ten days I can’t seem to concentrate enough so I can even write a review.

This has also impacted on my being about to do any writing for any of my own writing endeavors for both me or my erotic side. My status for an erotic novella now stands at about 82.5 % completion and I had so wanted to have completed by the end of this month and release by the of June. However, given the current state of affairs; if things don’t change soon, I doubt if this endeavor would see the light of day even by July. I had so wanted to reach a total of 5 published works for the romance genre by October, so would be able to claim my first milestone RWA pin.

I’m also still dreaming of one day being a PAN member of the RWA, which requires to have a book which has produced $1,000.00 in royalties.

So, here’s to me getting back to a normal daily routine and existence.
