I’ve yet another creative writing prompt called HAIKU HEIGHTS [] in which you’re required to write a response of 17 syllables in three lines, with the following breakdown of syllables in each line [5__7__5].  This week’s prompt word was  FORTITUDE, and this is my endeavor for it:

FORTITUDE is gone.
My job has been lost for now
Can only go up.

Would love to hear your feedback.

  1. Your positive attitude is emblematic of fortitude. May you not be jobless for long!

    Fortitude of Blossoms

Would you please consider ridding your blog of word verification? It's very difficult to read, and many of us simply don't have the fortitude to wade through the mess. Thank you!!

    1. I didn't know I had a word verification on my blog. THANKS for advising of it. Now to find out how to turn it off.

I'm not unemployed, I've been HAPPILY RETIRED now for 3 years, 1 month and 4 days; but who's counting. I just found out about HAIKU HEIGHTS from "Ramblings From a Mum" and had written it specifically for her/her situation. I then decided to merely copying it here so as not to have to write a new HAIKU.

    2. I've found that to help you get rid of the word verification function on blogs which have them is to become a follower of that individual. Doing this will mark you has such because your identity would have been verified when you became a follower. This way you're no longer deemed to be a stranger [possible SPAMMER] to the site.

  2. Yes one needs fortitude to navigate the job market today! Good luck to your friend! And welcome to haiku!

  3. Lovely. Thanks for this haiku. Alice

  4. I'm also on and with the same screen name so you can follow me there. I didn't want to list all four links since no one tell which one is which on the listing of links.

@ Wabisabipoet - THANKS for your feedback and welcome.

@ alicekeysmd - You're welcomed. Glad you liked my endeavor for this week. And THANKS for your feedback.
