BOOK REVIEW # 2016-093 - DRAWN TO THE 80's

This book is a wonderful illustration of how we as a young child, and our children today, would always take things they hear so literally.

Here’s a few examples of simple sayings we hear each day as adults, sayings which we all know the meanings of. Now put that inner-child of yours to use, and envision what comes up in your mind as a young child for the following:

All in the same boat.

Bend over backwards.

Break a leg.

End of the road.

Hold your horses.

It’s a piece of cake.

Out on a limb.

Put your money where your mouth is.
This is the premise which Lori Ferraro uses in creating this adorable book. She uses her son, Sam’s creative ability and his young mind, and asked him to draw pictures for the titles of the songs she loved listening to as a teenager.

While this book is geared for young readers, I feel their parents will enjoy just as much if not more due to its nostalgia.

For allowing its readers to see the creativity of a young child’s mind, and for the adults to remember the days of their youth, I’m happy to give this book 5 STARS.

I read this book via a Amazon-US KINDLE unlimited download.
